In 1992, Hua Xia Bank was incorporated in Beijing at the height of "Reform and Opening-up" policy and under the guidance of Mr. Deng Xiaoping. After the restructuring in 1995, it became a nationwide joint stock commercial bank. As of March 31st, 2008, Hua Xia Bank reported a total asset of RMB 597.968 billion and realized a net profit of RMB 822 million in the first quarter of 2008, which is an increase of 80.43% against last year.
